Commercial Director
UK wide
Salary: £110,00 to £130,000 dependent on experience.
Bonus: Company bonus scheme

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the main board and owners of a respected contracting business.
- Management of a team of surveying staff working for the business nationally
- Business lead for dispute resolution helping the company to develop processes which avoid disputes.
- Undertaking both a hands-on and strategic role in the management and development of the commercial aspects of the business
- Developing collaborative relationships with new and existing clients, staff, departments, group companies and suppliers
- In-house training and mentoring of commercial teams and junior staff
Experience Required
- Able to lead a commercial team
- Ideallly a strong main or sub contracting element to your career
- Degree qualified in quantity surveying or equivalent ideally with additional qualifications in construction law.
- Someone used to working closely with construction lawyers or the legal process
- Extensive knowledge of contracts in particular JCT and NEC
- Good level oral and written English language skills
- A career ideally demonstrating progression, teamwork, technical aptitude.
- Experience of claims/avoidance, dispute resolution or as an expert witness
