Their experts provide sophisticated economic, financial, and analytical advice across a wide range of disciplines, including construction.The The consultant position is a junior consulting staff position, open to professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, likely to have been with a main or leading sub contractor, and interested in claims and dispute resolution.
This position requires a highly motivated problem solver, with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within the organisation. The work is mostly quantitative in nature, the projects are global and wide ranging, from residential, to infrastructure and energy projects. You will have the opportunity to work with highly reputable, specialist experts and learn from true leaders in the market.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the analysis and assessment of claims and counterclaims such as variations, loss and expense, termination claims, liquidated damages and disruption.
Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions.
Participate in a team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the areas of engineering, construction and quantity surveying or another related subject.
Proven capability with MS Excel and/or other analytical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS Access, MS SQL Server).
Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body i.e ICES or RICS.
Excellent oral and verbal communications skills.
Good attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
