SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER – MANCHESTER
We’re seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our client’s growing Civil Engineering Consultancy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your career and progress toward a management role. Our client provides civil engineering design, procurement, and project management services, supporting their clients across the entire project lifecycle. Their projects exceed £100M+ in value and include pre-purchase appraisals, flood risk assessments, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with colleagues, project teams and other disciplines.
- Representing the company at client and project meetings.
- Delivering Flood Risk Assessments (FRA’s), drainage strategies, and pre-planning advice.
- Conduct site visits and provide technical assessments.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within a multidisciplinary firm.
- Member (or aspiring member) of ICE or similar professional body.
- Experience in drainage (foul and surface) and minor roadway design
- A good understanding of section 38, 278 (Highways Act) and section 104, 106 and 185 (Water industry Act) agreements
- Experience with designing a wide range of projects from conception through to completion (including calculations, drawings and specifications)
- Strong knowledge of Section 38, 278, and 104 agreements. Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Expertise in drainage design, SUDS, highways, cut and fill analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., Part H and M, British Standards).
