A highly respected consultancy turning over c£70m in the UK, well regarded for dispute resolution and forensic consultancy is currently investing in the development of a new Construction Expert Witness practice. As part of this it seeks a Quantum Expert to lead this aspect of the practice. Known for both its staff and client focus, its culture and team spirit, it works at the forefront of industry and employs some great people. The role would suit someone who feels they would enjoy working in a strong and evolving dispute resolution and forensic consultancy, with a genuine people-focused culture, to assist it to develop its expert witness capability further.
Responsibilities
- Providing Quantum Expert Witness testimony and support to a broad client base in the construction and engineering sectors.
- Working on high value £multi-million/billion disputes, investigations and arbitrations.
- Becoming a key member of the London and UK leadership team, head of the Quantum Expert team reporting to the Head of UK
- Business development and helping to market the business domestically where required
- Assisting with development and management of new and existing experts and consultants.
Requirements
- Degree / professionally qualified in quantity surveying, ideally chartered with additional qualifications in construction law.
- A career demonstrating progression and a high level of technical aptitude.
- Someone who has ideally been cross-examined
- A confident and articulate communicator with exceptional verbal and written English language skills.
- At least part of your background is likely to have been spent with a main contractor in the building, infrastructure, or power sector.
